WASHINGTON, D.C (January 20, 2010). In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Graco Childrens Products is voluntarily recalling about 1.5 million strollers. The recall includes certain models of the Graco Passage, Alano and Spree Strollers and travel systems.

The hinges on the strollers canopy pose a fingertip amputation and laceration hazard to the child when the consumer is opening or closing the canopy. Graco has received seven reports of children placing their fingers in the strollers canopy hinge mechanism, including five fingertip amputations and two lacerations.

Graco manufactured two different styles of hinge mechanisms for these stroller models. Only strollers or travel systems with a plastic, jointed hinge mechanism that has indented canopy positioning notches (see photo below) are included in this recall. The recalled strollers were manufactured between October 2004 and February 2008. The model number and manufacture date are located on the lower inside portion of the rear frame, just above the rear wheels.

will the carseat just snap in to any graco stroller or do i need an extra piece. if so how do i get that. i know the seat is in excellent condition it is plaid green with pooh deco on top. not sure of model?

It should fit in any of the graco models that accept a carseat and have a tray with them (if you’re buying used). Without the tray, it will not work.

i want to be able to put the newborn closest to me in a car seat like a stroller system like in this link where you can put the carseat on top of the stroller while the baby is really little until theyre old enough to sit up on their own.

I have an evenflo take me too tandem and it’s designed just the way you described. It’s a decent stroller. I used it when my twins were babies but sometimes I do use it for one of my twins in front and my baby in back.

Look, it’s inexpensive too. This will fit with an evenflo carseat which goes for about 50 bucks so there you go, less than 150 bucks you have a complete travel system for your Irish twins.

I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. I’m training for a 5K. I have a single jogging stroller right now, but obviously can’t take both out when I go running, so I was wondering if I should spend money getting a double jogging stroller, or a treadmill.

I would go for the Double Stroller, there is something to be said about running out doors rather than on a treadmill. I would search (Craigslist.org) or go to a local thrift store or good will to find one, but might have more ease of mind buying one brand new. it is carrying your children after all

You could try looking in your locality for a moms of multiples group who trades and exchanges equipment and clothing. Also try joining a yahoo groups twin club and try asking on freecycle.org in your area.

We have a Graco Quattro stroller now (we got the travel system that came with the infant seat). It’s been terrific, but it’s looking a bit worse for wear.

I’m thinking I might like a smaller, more lightweight stroller and I’ve been trying to notice them when we’re out. It seems like older toddlers (our son is two, but tall) look uncomfortable in umbrella strollers and there is often little or no footrest and no storage at all.

Anyone had good luck with a lightweight stroller for their toddler??

Maclaren, Maclaren, Maclaren. I have big babies too. They are always in the 95% height. We have the maclaren techno xt, love it, and we also had the Maclaren Volo-Loved it as well.
