tandem strollers?

My baby will be born when my other baby will be about a year and a half, what would be a good stroller? I am all about lightweight and compact, so the world of double strollers completley boggles me right now! Or what about twin strollers? What are the pros/cons?

What type of car carrier do you have? If you plan to use the double stroller as a "travel system" you will want to make sure the carrier and the stroller and compatible. My daughters are about a year apart. I got the Eddie Bauer stroller because the front seat can turn around and face backwards. I thought that would be neat for them to look at each other when they got bigger. The only problem was that thing weighed a TON!

So we ended up buying a different one. We went with the Combi side-by-side stroller. It was really nice and lightweight. The only problem with it was if you put too much stuff on the back (hanging on the handle), the stroller had a tendency to tip. It didn’t happen when the girls were in it. For me it was more when I was getting them out and their weight wasn’t there to hold it down. I have heard about them tipping with kids in it.

I have seem a lot of people with the Duo Glider from Graco. A friend of mine has twins and she loves it. Try looking at the website below. It has comparisons of strollers, including price, weights and ratings from parents.

I’m looking at Bumbleride Indie Twin stroller & wanted to take a poll: Koa or Ruby? www.bumbleride?

I’m looking at the new Bumbleride Indie Twin stroller & wanted to take a poll: Would you choose the brown Koa or Ruby red? www.bumbleride.com

I just can’t make up my mind on what color! Plus trying to be practical with sun/fading and also stains (kids & babies ya know) Thanks & God bless everybody!

Im going to get the Bumbleride Indie Twin as well. I asked the sales lady which colors were the most popular (I don’t want to have the most popular color – I like to be a bit different.) Anyway, she said the Seagrass and Spice were the most popular (I dont like the light blue combo) and then the Ruby and Koa, then that awful blue one! :)

Anyway, so I like you am trying to decide between the two. I have a Chicco 0.6 umbrella in a color similar to Ruby. I was so freaked that it would fade, but it didnt (and that stroller only cost me $50!) I even left it out in the sun, by accident one day, baking away and still its as bright as the day I took it out of the box. That being said, Im going with the Koa, because I took my son’s carseat (that will be reused) with me and I "matched it up" to the colors. The seat is brown, cream, aqua blue, etc (Graco Safe Seat in Legacy) and it looked best with Koa. What color is your carseat? Will you be using it with the stroller? Or will you be getting the matching cover? I was tempted but the Saleslady said the cover’s shade is not as big as the Graco ones, so we would loose some coverage- since the coverage is the reason I bought it, Im sticking with the existing fabric …. She did tell me that if Im going to order a snack pack (I am!) to order two, becasue fabrics change yearly for Bumbleride, so by time Im ready for a second one for Baby#2 they may not be making the Koa (though it is a hold over color from last years Indie single…)

Hope that helps! Or at least gives you more to think about … Im obsessed … I have read so many good reviews. Have you seen the video on Baby Gizmo? Really good!

Is wheel suspension necessary for strollers?

How much of a difference does wheel suspension REALLY make? I don’t have one without to compare to, but am looking into buying a new stroller that doesn’t have them. (Specifically the Maclaren Twin Triumph). We live in the city, so it would only be used on sidewalks, paved pathways, and indoors. Thank you in advance!

It’s makes the ride smoother for you child, w/o a suspension, they will feel all the bumps on the ground, with a suspension, it will be much smoother, like a car with & without a suspension. For the few extra dollars get the suspnsion one, it’s worth it.

Hi, I am pregnant with twin girls, and looking for the best twin girl stroller can someone please help?

Are you looking for a tandem or a side by side?

I prefer tandem- they are easier to manuever in isles at stores but they are hard to turn, you feel like your driving a bus!
I own an eddie bauer tandem stroller- the front seat turns forward or backward (so my girls can look at each other and play) it holds 2 carseats for that infant stage as well.

I also own a side by side jogger stroller- they are nice for going to places like the park and stuff but NOT to be used in stores because they are so wide, most wont fit through doors!
but you could do the double umbrellas when they get a little older- since as newborns they cant sit up in them!

I highly recommend the eddie bauer for birth and up and a double umbrella for easy use when they get a little older!

I will have 4 kids under 3 (wife is expecting twins) what are my options for driving them around and strollers?

My wife is expecting twins in June of next year when they are born my oldest will be 31 months old (1-8-2007) and middle child will be 18 months old (3-9-2008). How will we all get around in one vehicle with car seats, and strollers? I currently have a Chrysler T & C minivan and she has a Pacifica.

We have 3 oldest is 3 youngest is almost 1, we get everything into an Uplander with room to spare. As for strollers, might I suggest one by Foundations. http://www.foundations.com/
I have the triple and love it. And it fits great in the Uplander. I love all of there products. The quad stroller is really quite compact!

Bumbleride Indie Twin double stroller?

Hi, I’d like to purchase the Bumbleride Indie Twin double stroller for my newborn and toddler. Does anyone here own that stroller? Or familiar with it? I’m curious how easy it is to push and if it fits through standard doors. Any info, pros and cons to the stroller would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hello! I have the EXACT same question. I’ve been reading everything possible about this stroller for the past few days. I can tell you that many reviews state they "haven’t met a door they didn’t fit through" and there is one fairly negative and detailed review at http://www.amazon.com/tag/baby/forum?_encoding=UTF8&cdForum=FxSKWDWQRZ03WU&cdThread=Tx25EVPUPMKIXWY&displayType=tagsDetail,
and a similar question on baby gaga’s forum at http://forum.baby-gaga.com/about244393.html.
The link I sent you is the only serious negative review I found. There are tons of positive ones out there and a couple disgruntled women reviewing it at babiesrus and saying it was too big (yes, it’s big!) but I didn’t get the impression they were real stroller fanatics.
Anyway, let me know how it goes and if you find out any great info.
Oh yeah, one more thing, if you go to Letsgostrolling.com, there are some really different measurements. I have emailed them and am trying to find out if these are accurate. They call them "lets go strolling verified measurements," which to me sounds like something they did, themselves, in store, but we will see.

Can anyone tell me where to find twin stuff??

Im a mommy to twin girls and I want to know where I can find twin items- clothes, strollers, magazines- ANYTHING for twins!! Please give me website URLS or address, etc! THANKS!

There are some good resources here along with places that give free stuff to multiples and their families. http://www13.serrahost.com/doubleblessingscom/resource.html#free
Also try here: http://multiples.about.com/od/twinfants/
Mine are only 6 months old. Another great resource is the Moms of Multiples club. It is a national organization and you can check online for the chapter nearest you. http://www.nomotc.org/
Good luck!
